ok so here is what happened. i was backing out of my schools parking lot and i admit i didn't look before backing up when i felt like i hit something me and this other guy hit right in the middle of the aisle bumper to bumper he never hit his horn so i know he wasn't paying attention either. he said he was looking but no one would just keep going and hit there car are they would have honked or somthing so i know he didn't look as well so we both looked at the cars and his bumper was in but somthing that could easily be fixed and mine was not that bad. now we are young so i know our insurance is going to go up so we left it that he was going to take care of his car and me of mine we only exchanged numbers because it wasn't anything serious so i decided to not report mine to insurance because i can live with a little dent in my car. he did who's fault was it? and i've heard that in a situation like that both are at fault and both pay for thier own things?

i was driving in a parking lot going 5-7mph. there were no signs of any cars backing up (no lights or cars moving). i had already started to pass a woman's car, when i looked to my left and saw her backing up (1-2 seconds before she hit me). she hit my car in the passenger side rear door and rear wheel. she could not have backed up more than her driver's side rear window. i was traveling on the right side of a two car width lane. after i was hit there was enough room for two cars to pass me on the driver's side of the car. who's at fault here? i filed a claim with my insurance about 10mins after the accident and the adjustor told me it was not necessary to file a claim. only witness walked up after the accident and got into the car with her. i believe it was her husband.

Her fault ... but this happened on private property so police don’t investigate in most states. So to get it repaired it may be your word against hers. Do you have a witness, if so you will be more likely to get her to pay.

Q. Got hit in a parking lot by a car reversing out of a spot, who is at fault?
on friday i got into an accident. i was at a 4 story parking structure making my way down from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor. i had to make a sharp right turn to take a small ramp down to the 2nd floor, then another sharp right to continue on the 2nd floor that leads to a ramp that takes you to the 1st floor and out of the lot. the guy was parked exactly 2 spaces next to the sharp right turn i needed to take to proceed on the 2nd floor of the parking structure. as i approached the ramp on the 3rd floor i slowed down. made the turn went down the ramp made the 2nd turn onto the 2nd floor and proceeded to drive towards the other ramp. all of a sudden after making the sharp right turn a car backs out of the 2nd parking space next to the ramp and i couldn't brake in time to avoid the collision. i tried to swerve out of the way but he hit me. who is at fault? i don't think i am because i was passing his parking space just as he was pulling out and he continued to back up. he hit the bottom right corner of my passenger door and the fender of my front right tire. i dented the right corner of his rear bumper. -when we got out of our cars to exchange info the first thing he did was accuse me of going fast but i was only going 6mph the minimum for the parking lot is like 10 or a little more. is he at fault or am i? -i looked at the speedometer just before i got to the ramp that leads to the 2nd floor, and it read 6mph. even if i was going that slow i had no time to stop becuz i was passing his car as he was pulling out. by the time i tried to swerve and hit the brakes it was too late. -i told the insurance company that if it was my fault then my front bumper would be severely damaged. since it wasn't damaged and it was only the passenger side door and the fender on the front right tire it means the guy waited until i got close to his car to back out. that means he aimlessly backed out without looking i guess.

Usually, the person backing would be judged at fault but that is not for you, the other driver or me to decide. Simply turn it in to your insurance company and they will handle it

my car was parked on the road outside of work legally. a car pulled out of my work car park (which i could not park in due to lack of spaces) this car hit a car driving down the road in the side, forcing this driver to hit my car on the opposite side of the road. due to the force of the hit my car then hit the car parked behind mine. the police were called and the driver who pulled out of the car park was found at fault. this driver was also found to have no insurance (romanien!!!) however, i was hit by the driver who had insurance? my car looks like it will be a write off so not very happy. who do i claim from??? would i be rite in saying the car mine hit (parked) claims from my insurance. my insurance company claims for my damages and the other car from the insured driver who hit me! then the insured drivers insurance will have to try can claim the damages back from the uninsured driver? i don't really want to lose my 4 years no claims and have to lose a lot of money due to exsess? any ideas? that makes sense terrence. this is how i see it. just to make it clearer. car a pulled out into car b making car b hit my car (car c) which was parked with no one in it. due to impact car c hit car d. car a had no insurance car b,c and d did have insurance. as car b hit c - c needs to claim from car b. hope this makes more sense... sorry forgot to mention based in the uk!
