Q. Car accident? i was in a car accident. i have a nissan 200sx, 1997. my lheadlights on one side were busted, my grill was busted and my radiator was damaged and is now leaking. my hood is bent up slightly. do you think the insurance company will pay for this damage or total the car out. there wasnt much damage done, just front end and the frame is not bent. how much do u think costs will be to fix this damage, estimates, and no stupid answers.
ps. the car still runs, starts and drives well. all the lighting works...just need a new radiator and basic bumper repair and hood repair and a new grill
"After all this is a ten year old car..."
This depends on a few items not listed. After all this is a ten year old car. How many miles are on it and what is the general condition (honestly) of the car before the accident- as a trade in. very good, good, fair - poor. Consider paint condition, glass conditon, tires, etc. Look at your last tax assessment if you get them each year from your county - some do - some do not.
Least option is the Insurance company will write it off and give you the option to buy it back Total insurance minus write off value and then you go get it fixed and keep driving it.
Look up on the web the blue book for trade in.

Q. Car accident? i just had an accident and my airbags came out. the adjustor was stating just the airbags alone is exspensive to replace. he saying just that alone will total my car. they guy who hit me, didn't have insurance so i have to pay a deductible to get it fixed. also, do i have to get new airbags?
"You may be better off getting a new car..."
You may be better off getting a new car. Like the adjuster said, replacing these is very expensive.
If the insurance company is going to "total" your car, this means that they'll give you the money that they believe it is worth...Often this will be enough for you to get another vehicle.

Q. Car accident!? i got into a bad car accident today totaled my car && my tooth is loose, and its not a baby tooth.. it's really sensitive what does this mean am i going to loose the tooth? ... please someone tell me... & if i need a fake tooth how does that work?
"If this car accident was not your fault..."
If the tooth was hit you should go see a dentist and have an x-ray taken and possibly get some antibiotics just to prevent any possible infection. When you get a hard hit it can make the tooth loose and sensitive. It can kill the nerve if it was hit hard enough. This can mean a need for a root canal and crown or if the tooth does not tighten back up, an extraction and replacement. Do not wiggle the tooth or bite anything. If this car accident was not your fault, you need to immediately go see a dentist and get documentation as so, so you can get money from insurance if needed. An implant can be used to replace the tooth. Extract the tooth if necessary, have a screw placed in the bone, and crown placed on top. No problems of taking something in and out or losing anything. It may be a few hundred dollars more than a bridge, but it is worth it.A lot of times, antibiotics will be prescribed to help prevent the tooth nerve from overreacting, dying, and getting infected.

Q. Car accident? i had a car accident the other day was trying to teach a friend how to drive they made a wide turn on the intersection and ended up on the middle left of the road she turned on a car was coming and we ended up going head on with the car it was our fault but my right corner got damanged and the passenger door on the other car got damaged but everyone was alright wanted to know what would insurance fix my and the drivers car is it going to be points on my liscence and waht would happend to the person i was teaching permit and would insurance fix mine and the other persons car im on a loan so i hope they dont total mine but just needed advice and i was wondering should i make the one i was teaching pay somthing since its her fault but mine for letting the person drive.
It's called permissive use and hopefully she has a learners permit. You allowed her to drive your vehicle knowing the consequences. Your insurance should cover all parties involved. If she's not listed on your policy as a driver, your premium should not be affected. Although, her driving record and information will be on hand when she's attempts to get coverage.
Why don't you ask her to pay your deductible and be done with it.

Q. ■■■car accident? and i was so stunded that i forgot to
write down his license #
he gave me his business card but i didn't ask his name!
but i have his car plate # and his insurance name and his insurance agents name..
is there any way to find this guy and track him down?[ it was a small accident no police involved]
"Days if i was involved in an accident i would at least call the..."
Now days if I was involved in an accident I would at least call the police so that they had a record of the call so I could prove that there actually was an accident. I would think with the information you have you should be able to go the drivers lisense facility and find out what you need to know. Your insurance company should also be able to take care of it for you.

Q. What is the difference between car accident and car collision? i saw it in the movie hot fuzz and it recently brought up the question. whats the difference between an car accident and a car collision? please explain in details. i had this question before, but no one really answered it properly. if its not an accident, then they did it on purpose?
"An accident says there is no one to..."
An accident says there is no one to blame cause it just naturally happened by nature. i.e. A tree fell and everyone scrambled to avoid it. An collision has someone to blame. Someone is doing something wrong, like talking on a cellphone, or simply not paying attention.

Q. What happens in a car accident of this nature? i was in an accident, i (person a) am driving a vehicle that i do not own, the owner (person b) however has lability and full coverage to top it off.
i also have liability and full coverage to top it off, but that car is not listed on my policy, because i dont own it.
now lets say i get into an accident and need to pay for damages to other objects (well just say person c), as well as for the vehicle i crashed.(owned by person b)
wtf?
"You have the permission of b to driver their car..."
In Texas, liability follows the vehicle. Assumption: you have the permission of B to driver their car. If you hit person C while driving Person B's vehicle, B insurance will be responsible for the damages. If that policy is not substantial enough to cover the damages in full, your insurance will be excess and pick up where B left off. B's insurance will pay to fix B's car, subject to the deductible.

Q. What happens after a car accident involving no other cars and no injuries? if you hit a snow bank, for instance, and there is no damage but a tow truck has to pull you out - what happens? do you call the police? do the police come if no one was injured? do you get a ticket? would you get some sort of written proof about the accident? would they pull out your car and let you go on your way?
"It depends entirely on where the accident occurred..."
In this example, if there was no damage and no injuries, there is no need to involve the police.
In the case where there is damage to the vehicle, it depends entirely on where the accident occurred. In some states and provinces, damage over a particular dollar amount (no matter the reason) requires that you file an accident report with the police. This is true for most Canadian provinces at least. You may also be required to contact the police immediately, and they will decide if someone needs to be at the accident scene before the vehicle is removed.
In locations that require an accident report, they will give you a copy of the report and possibly a special temporary sticker to affix to the vehicle with the accident report number and an indication of where the damage is located. Those are then required by the repair shop so they can repair the damage. Without them, a reputable shop cannot and will not fix the damage.
Again, the rules around this vary in the different states and provinces. If there is damage, the prudent thing to do is call the local police (although don't use 911, its not an emergency) and ask them what the next steps are.
