Q. Parking lot accident - no fault of mine but there are no witnesses and the woman has changed her story? i was parked in a lot outside a starbucks and drinking coffee when a woman backed into my car damaging the fender. at that point in time she offered to pay for the damages and profusely apologized. however, once it went to the insurance company, she changed her story and said both of us were backing up. i do not have any witnesses. what are my options at this point in time ?
"Your best option is to have your insurance company do the fighting for you..."
Your best option is to have your insurance company do the fighting for you. That is why you pay them premiums. Another option is to sue her in small claims court

Q. If i was sitting still in my car and another car backed up into me in a parking lot, who is at fault? i was in my car in a parking lot and stopped because the car in front of me stopped. while i was stopped and waiting for the car in front of me to move a car to my right backed up and ran into my passenger side door. i sounded my horn as she was backing up but she still ran into me? am i at fault in anyway?
I believe she was at fault.*

Q. If someone is stopped in a parking lot to let someone out, and is then backed into, who is at fault? one drives into a post office parking lot, drives up to the door and then stops to let someone out. after the person getting out collects their things, opens the door, then gets out of the car, the car is backed into by someone pulling out of a parking spot. who is at fault here?
"If you haven't called your insurance company and opened a claim..."
The burden of responsibility is on the driver backing up. It will probably be the other guys fault. But, if you haven't called your insurance company and opened a claim, don't wait any longer.

Q. Who is at fault if someone in a parking lot lane backs into someone who is backing out of a parking space? i was in the lane of a small parking lot today, and was backing up to enter a parking space that was about to free up in front of me. i was checking my left rear corner in my mirror to make sure that someone wasn't driving in behind me, when i collided with a car that was backing out of a parking space near the right rear of my car. i didn't see him, and i assume that he didn't see me, since he had backed out far enough for us to collide. he says that he saw me, automatically assumed that it was my fault, told me he would get an estimate and send me a bill. there were no witnesses that i could find and we didn't call the police. i filed a report with my insurance company, and it is obviously their job to do their own investigation, but i'm just curious about whether or not anyone has any advance knowledge about this kind of situation.
this is in los angeles, california.
"Most generally parking lot accidents are filed as "no fault"..."
Most generally parking lot accidents are filed as "no fault" accidents, and each party is responsible for his or her own, sorry

Q. Who is at fault in this ontario parking lot accident? alright, so i was slowly driving along the lane through the parking lot, and a lady backed into the side of my car, damaging the right rear door and very edge of the quarter panel by the wheel well. she claims that i "indicated to her that i was going to yield" and said i swerved my car to get out of the way of her backing out.
i didn't see her at all, and certainly didn't move to get out of the way.
given the position of the damage on my car, and the situation, who is at fault?
thanks
"The party backing has the greater duty to look to the rear..."
the party backing has the greater duty to look to the rear.
Also points of impact would indicate you were already complete behind her and in what we call the "impact zone". No matter what the impact could not have been avoided.

Q. I got in a parking lot accident in ontario, is it my fault if someone opened their door when i was pulling in? i was pulling in to my parking space and the person in the van next to me swung their door wide open without looking and hit my right side mirror so hard it bent it loose. their door was fine, but my mirror is loose. they claim it's my fault since i was pulling in and they were parked. i say its more their fault as they didn't even use common courtesy before swinging his door into my car. whose at fault, and what should i do?
its not your fault call your insurance and let them handle it
